Xfinity x Team USA - Olympics 2024

After successfully delivering the main Xfinity rebrand and creating the master ‘X fold’ device at Sky Creative, we were then asked to use that work as the basis for a Team USA Olympics takeover. We sensitively re-purposed some of the assets we had already created and designed a fresh Team USA look + feel to compliment the existing work. It was important that it felt closely tied-in to the recently launched Xfinity brand, while also feeling like it belonged to the wider Team USA aesthetic.
We came up with a system that neatly enable each USA medal win to tie back to Xfinity
Xfinity was sponsoring a number of USA athletes in the 2024 Olympics and Paralympics games in Paris. We ‘draped’ the Xfinity ‘X’ marque with the USA flag. We also explored how we might directly associate any USA medal wins with Xfinity and created a USA Xfinity logo that transitioned to a gold medal version of the X marque.
We also developed a system that would enable each athlete to sit alongside - or be ‘inside’ of the new Xfinity flag marque.
The Xfinity x Team USA takeover required bespoke promo endboards and animated assets. I developed a sequence in C4D that took the existing X-fold animation and applied the USA flag texture + athletes with a closeup camera angle and a shallow depth of field. This alternative take on the existing brand animation allowed for a new and fresh aesthetic that spoke exclusively about Team USA - but felt rooted in the wider Xfinity brand.
